Founded in the summer of 2005 by Greg Barba, Unique Food and Beverage (UFB) was created with one goal in mind: to provide an excellent fan experience.

When most boys his age were looking forward to the upcoming summer break filled with typical summertime activities, Greg was looking for a job. It wasn’t long before he caught the attention of food concessionaire Ted Shaw who hired him on the spot.
Greg spent 16 years at Shaw’s company, where a big part of his job was providing food and beverage services at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland. Then, after a seven-year break from Food & Beverage work, he decided it was time to start his own company.
Each year, our CEO brings UFB managers together to review the previous season and align goals for the year ahead. These meetings give us the opportunity to collaborate, share insights, and identify new ways to strengthen our operations and better serve our clients. Our goals focus on efficiency, innovation, and implementing strategies that will continue to elevate the guest experience.
